The Table View High School matriculants of 1998 attended their 10-year school reunion on Friday 19 December 2008. They gathered at the Italian Club in Rugby.

Whilst everyone was arriving, a video taken during their matric year giving a reminiscent look back at the past, played inside the hall against the wall. Many instantaneously recognised one other. Still, there were a few 'who are you?' moments. Old school friends greeted each other and settled down around the tables in deep conversation and laughter while a DJ provided the music.

A delicious buffet starter was made available and soon everyone was enjoying the different vegetables, seafood, cold meats and salads on offer.

Further formalities transpired as Freddie van der Walt delivered a speech about the long path that many came along together during school. A minute of silence was held for their fellow classmate Taryn Pretorius who passed away during October 2008. The people who contributed their time and expertise to the reunion's success were also thanked.

A scrumptious main course was then enjoyed by all, while everyone caught up on all the happenings that took place over the past 10 years of their lives.

After everyone enjoyed their meals, Nicholas Hartley thanked those who organised the reunion and then did a raffle draw for prizes which were sponsored by Remax and Animal Travel Services.

Friends and couples then got onto the dance floor and danced to the DJ's music until the early morning hours.

Many old friendships were strengthened during the evening, while some new friendships were being forged.

All those who attended the reunion mentioned how much they enjoyed the evening and couldn't wait until the next time when everyone is together.
